Resize Image in Pixels, CM, MM or Inches

Resize photos in pixels, centimetres, millimetres or inches. Choose DPI, crop or white padding, and save JPG, PNG or WebP locally in your browser.

Choose dimensions without distorting the image

Enter width and height, select pixels or a physical unit, then choose a fit. Fit inside keeps the full image with white padding; Fill crops the edges; Stretch can distort faces and signatures.

Worked example and checks

Pixels = centimetres ÷ 2.54 × DPI. At 300 DPI, a 3.5 × 4.5 cm photo is approximately 413 × 531 pixels. DPI here calculates pixel dimensions; it is not a promise that every printer will read matching resolution metadata. Set the physical print size in the print dialog.

Why did resizing increase the file size?

Pixel dimensions and file size are different. A large PNG can remain large after resizing. Download the resized image, then compress it if the receiving form also imposes a KB limit.
