Frame the subject before resizing
Choose a crop ratio, rotation and centre zoom. Rotation is applied before the centred crop. Increase zoom gradually and keep the subject near the centre of the source image.
Worked example and checks
For a portrait, try the 35:45 ratio and inspect the top of the head and shoulders. This ratio controls shape, not the final pixel dimensions or compliance with a passport authority. Use Resize image afterward when exact dimensions are needed.
Can I move the crop box?
This tool crops around the centre and does not provide a draggable crop area. If the subject is far off-centre, use an editor with manual crop positioning before resizing here.
